Sweet Heart Valentine's Day Blog Feb 14 at 12am to Feb 16 to 11:45pm Hop

Hello everyone! Welcome to the Sweet Heart Valentine's Day Blog Hop; Feb 14 at 12:01am to Feb 16 to 11:45pm hosted by Dee of Designs From My Heart (http://deesdesignsfrommyheart.blogspot.com/). I am celebrating Valentine's Day and the love for my husband! I have asked you all to make a Love-Themed item for someone you love.  For my project I made a vintage inspired Valentine’s Day card.

My card is vintage inspired to show the love I have for my husband. We have celebrated 10 years of marriage in October of 2010.  This is the card I made for my husband for Valentine's Day. I used some pretty brown card stock with pink hearts and worked around that. The card measure 6 x 7 inches. I have a really long sentiment inside that I found online and just twicked it a little, but it takes up both pages inside. I added a punched border that coordinates with the base of the card. I have added some embellishments from K and Co. The flower is prima antiqued with Tim Holtz distressing brown ink and I topped it off with a vintage earring that I broke the back off of to use for my center. The photo is from my set of photo's that I have purchased from Dover Publications. My blog candy giveaway is a set of Spellbinders and a Zig 2 way glue pen. I also was able to get a sponsor. The sponsor is listed below.

Your Memories Here is giving a $10.00 gift certificate to use on their site. Please become a follower and post a comment on every site to participate in the blog candy giveaway.
Next stop on the hop is Lori  http://swandog-4scraps.blogspot.com/
I will pick the winner of the blog candy using random.org on 2/18/11.

Hello everyone! Welcome to the Love At First Sight Blog Hop hosted by Sandra 365 Days of Cricut (http://365daysofcricut.blogspot.com/). If you are here from (CHRISTI http://scrappin5littlecupcakes.blogspot.com/ than you are in the right spot. If you just arrived here and would like to start from the beginning please go to Sandra 365 Days of Cricut (http://365daysofcricut.blogspot.com/). For this blog hop Sandra is celebrating her anniversary of when she met her hubby 8 years ago "It was Love At Fist Sight", also her 7th wedding anniversary, and of course Valentine's Day! She has asked us all to make a Love-Themed Gift for someone that we love and we will be sharing pictures of us with the person we love. For my project I made (a vintage inspired Valentine’s Day card )

If you are at ERIKA  http://cricutlove1.blogspot.com/ than you are in the right place. I am last on the list. If you missed any blogs than please go back to Sandra at (http://365daysofcricut.blogspot.com/).

I hope you all have a wonderful time celebrating this event with Sandra. She is a sweet person and I am glad to have met her through other young ladies. You are all special.

My card is showing a young girl writing a letter to her husband who is in Iraq.  I used this valentine paper that is glittered and has some texture to it. I thought this image was perfect for Sandra since her husband has been serving in Iraq. I antiqued the edges with Tim Holtz distressing ink, I added a glittered heart with my Martha Stewart punch. I added a coordinating flower to finish it off. It is blank inside to add your own loving sentiment. I will be giving away blog candy, please become a follower or let me know that you are already a follower and please leave a comment and you will be entered to win the candy. Please make sure to leave comments on all of the blogs for a chance to win several different Grand Prizes on Sandra's blog!

Meighen & Nicole's Birthday Bash

Hello everyone! Welcome to the Nicole and Meighen's Bday/Bloggerversary Bash Feb 5th and 6th hosted by Nicole and Meighen at (Meighen at
http://www.lizspaperloft.blogspot.com/) than you are in the right spot. If you just arrived here and would like to start from the beginning please go to   (Meighen at
http://scrappin3rdeeschik.blogspot.com/ ). For this blog hop Meighen and Nicole are celebrating their birthday and anniversary. We have been asked to create a birthday/holiday themed card. I have created a birthday/valentine’s day card for each of them.

This card is a Happy Birthday/Happy Valentine's Day. I used this beautiful chocolate card stock with pink hearts on it. I had this vintage postcard that I thought would look great together. I added a chocolate and pink glittered flower, made the hat pin that is in the flower added a pink heart with a heart shaped paper clip and stamped it Happy Birthday. This card measures 6x6 and is blank inside for you to add your own loving sentiment.

This card is 7 x 6. I used this paper that I purchased with a teen goth theme. If you look closer you can see that it has wings in the middle of that heart burst. This paper is already glittered, but I added the K and Co (sweet chipboard), stamped it Happy Birthday and added a hand made ice cream cone also created in a pink glitter, chocolate cone, and a cute little heart on the top with a rhinestone. They ice cream cone is compliments of Kindra Snelling you can find her at Kindra's Creations. This is also blank inside for you to add your own loving sentiment.

I will be giving away some blog candy. Please become a follower or let me know that you are already a follower and please leave a comment to be entered to win some blog candy.
Please make sure to leave comments on all of the blogs and; become a follower for a chance to win several different blog candy!
Once you leave this stop, the next stop on the hop is  Nicole - http://canadiannickelscrapn.blogspot.com/

I hope you are happy with the cards and enjoy, happy hopping. I have to say that Meighen has been very helpful to me and I am sure that Nicole is a wonderful person also being friends with all of us. I just haven't had the opportunity to chat with her yet.

Stylist Blogger Award

I have been awarded the Stylist Blogger Award from my online friend Meighen. She is a wonderful friend to me & has been very helpful to me along the way with some other ladies, which will be getting this award also. This is something I never expected to be honest. I know that my cards have come along way in less than 2 years, but this is something I didn't expect. I really don't consider myself a good creator because I can't seem to get my cards to sell on any online shop. I hope when the economy turns around that they will eventually sell. After you get this award you have to give it to 8 other bloggers and tell us 8 things about you. Dee:)

#1.  Meighen over at http://scrappin3rdeeschik.blogspot.com/2011/01/stylish-blogger-award.html/ Meighen is always there to help me when needed.

#2.  Jennifer Anderson over at http://creativearmywife.blogspot.com/ became a great new friend just this week as I was trying to figure out how to host my own hop and she did 95% of the work for me.

#3.  Kindra Snelling over at http://creationsbykindra.blogspot.com/ Kindra has been there to help me all the time when I have questions, ideas, she has motivated me to do other creating instead of just cards, so I have expanded my creating to hang tags and paper flowers.

#4.  Krista Petersen Hong over at http://www.KristasPaperCafe.com/ has become a great friend to me since September when I was trying to recruit ladies to be on the hang tag team that I was a captain to on MPTS forum.

#5.  Sandra Rosario over at www.365daysofcricut.blogspot.com/ Sandra, I have also met just recently through her wonderful postings on FB, she is a very cheerful person and always gives me a laugh.

#6.  Jennifer Restivo over at http://www.craftycardgallery.blogspot.com/ Jennifer has also helped me with various items, questions, etc., over the last few months. I met her by participating in her hop, which I think was also compliments of Meighen hooked me up with this one.

#7.  Jess over at www.KinderStampO.com/ Jess I just recently met also by participating in this wonderful hop where I have met some wonderful, friendly and helpful ladies along the way and hope to be friends with also.

#8.  Madison over at http://www.funkycards.blogspot.com/ Madison I really don't know, but I have been to her blog several times and love her blog. I was amazed at the wonderful talent she has for being so young.

Now 8 things about me.

1. I am a stay at home wife and mom to my four legged fur babies. They are my children so needless to say they are very pampered.

2.  I have a niece and nephew that are both just started college and they are both studying music.

3. I have a best friend that has been by my side for almost 20 years now and is always there when I need her.

4. I am a true chocoholic.

5. I love Criminal Minds, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice and Medium which they just canceled the show.

6. I too hoard paper. I have 28 12x12 holders of paper that hold about 4 book bound stacks. I have them labeled by theme, holiday and sparkled & solids.

7. I am a very good hearted person and will go out of my way to help anyone if I possibly can.

8. I am a dog lover. I send donations to all of the rescues where we got out dogs from, the local shelter near me with food, blankets, and any other supplies they need to keep the shelter going. I love all animals, but dogs of course at the top of my list with 4 in my home right now. We did have 5 for a few years, but we have also lost 4 with in the last 6 years, which we miss them all very much.
