Happy Retirement

The card listed in this post is a card I made for one of my husband's co-workers that is retiring after 33 years of being a Registered Nurse and no less in the NJ State Prison. We have been invited to her retirement party that her daughter is surprising her with next week. I wanted to make something special for her. Rich told me that she loves vintage photos and the beach so I created a card with both. The flower that you see in this photo are all prima flowers except the center rose, which is an antique resin rose pin that I purchased at an antique store. I also have added a shell clipboard chip in the lower corner that is glittered and a few rhinestones on the lower left hand corner. I used stickles glitter to highlight the dogs collar and the ribbon around her hat. I think it came out great. If I was selling this I would have to easily price it at $6-7 dollars due to the fact that the vintage pin cost me $3.00, but well worth it. I hope you enjoy seeing this recent project of mine. You can also go to my site at www.designsfrommyheart.etsy.com to see my new Halloween cards just posted. I hope you all have a great weekend.
