My Little Cinnamon
My american cocker spaniel that I rescued from a horrible cocker spaniel rescue in Maryland was with us for 2 1/2 yrs. He ended up with a tumor on his esophagus. We had a surgeon remove it and even did chemo for him to save him, but in the end the tumor was growing back as he was going through the chemo and we didn't know. So I know that this day is a day of remembering the 9/11 attacks, but 3 yrs ago today is the day I had to put my beautiful Cinnamon to sleep. He would have hung on as long as I would let him, but I had to let him go so he wouldn't suffer any longer. I miss him so much, the pain is unbearable some times. And even though I still have 4 other rescues, he is greatly missed. He was very good and you could tell he was happy to have a family and a forever home that he needed so desperately. It is so horrible to think his family gave him up to a rescue group and they placed him in a horrible shelter that was dark, cold and wet with no lights on and no bedding or blankets on the concrete floors, and then to love him and lose him in 2 1/2 yrs just devastated me. I know everyone tells me at least we gave him a good home for the years we had him, but it wasn't enough for me. Loves & Hugs, I know you are no longer suffering.
Sorry about your beloved dog. :(
